Oceanfront Rooms – some with Balcony

Because it is one of the few 4 Star properties, the Marriott Resort and Spa at Grand Dunes Myrtle Beach Rooms are a very luxurious and comfortable place to stay. The main building in this resort where the rooms are located is a full 15 Stories tall. If you look at the position of the property, you notice that the building sits with one of its sides facing the Beach and the Ocean. This means that there are very few rooms that are truly considered Oceanfront. For most, this is okay because if you stay in the front or rear of the Hotel, you still get great views of the ocean and the sounds will still permeate the rooms if you open the sliding glass doors.

What are the rooms Like?

You can expect a more lavish version of a standard Hotel Room with very lush bedding and very clean amenities. The standard rooms are all the same size at 304 square feet. Each can be configured with either a single King size bed or 2 Doubles. If you are looking to book something a little larger, there are a few Junior Suites but you will have to call the Resort to setup this reservation as they do not allow you to book this online. If you really want an upscale stay, check out the Presidential Suite.

Are there balconies?

Some of the Oceanfront rooms are fully equipped with large enough balconies to have some chairs to sit on while enjoying the sound of the waves in front of you. If you have a room with an Oceanview, you really don’t get a balcony but you do get a sliding glass door that opens with a railing on the other side. This will at least allow you to get a better view and also take in the sounds of the surf anytime that you like.
