Amazing Pools at Oceanfront Villas
Having a nice place to sit and relax by the pool is an important part of any vacation. If you have kids, it is always nice i if there is a little more than jumping in a normal pool. There is no shortage of Marriott Myrtle Beach Ocean Watch Pools to choose from when you visit this resort. As a matter of fact, there is a lot more at water fun than meets the eye at first.
Outdoor Pools
The Marriott OceanWatch Villas complex is broken up in to 2 main sections. There are 3 large buildings on the Oceanfront, the Starfish, Scallop and Conch that surround the Seaside Pool area. The Seaside Pool is very large and is actually split up into 2 different levels making it in reality, 2 completely separate pools. There is plenty of seating to go around but these pools get a lot of action since they do have a view of the beach and capture many guests as they head to and from the Beach. In this same area, there is a Kids Shallow pool which makes a fantastic place to grab a chair and read while the little ones enjoy staying cool for some of their time.
On the back side of the property you have the Maple and Pine buildings that house additional Villas that are not considered OceanFront. You might find a few rooms that have some sort of view of the Ocean and they are still a quick walk to the beach but they are not directly on the ocean. This can be a nice thing if you are looking for a little more peace and quiet during your stay however, the Large Woodsy Pool is located between these buildings and the OceanFront Buildings at the resort. This large Water Play area offers a big section that is Zero-Entry for the smallest ones to have easy access to the water. There are also many different flower like structures that will rain down on them creating a gentle splashing area for the kids to have fun. The biggest draw to the Woodsy Pool would have to be the Water Slide. This large twisting slide dumps into a secluded area of the pool as not to create problems for others who might be playing. The Kids seem to be drawn to this area for hours sliding again and again. It is not just for kids though, this is fun for the adults as well. In front of the Maple building, there is a nice sized Quiet Pool. If you are looking to just relax and get away from all of the commotion for a while, this might be the pool for you.
Indoor Pool
There is a very nice Indoor Pool at the Marriott Ocean Watch located in the Magnolia Building right behind the Woodsy Outdoor Pool. If you are having an in-climate day or you just want to get out of the heat for a while, this is the place to go. Marriott OceanWatch Villas only has the one Indoor Pool so you can expect it to be pretty crowded if there is good reason for people to not be splashing around in the Outdoor Pools.
Whirlpools and Hot Tubs
It is not recommended that kids every play in the Whirlpools but this is a great place for the Adults to get some relaxation time. There are 2 Outdoor Whirlpools located in front of the Scallop Building just feet away from the Sandy Beach. You can find another large soaking Hot Tub inside of the Magnolia building off to the side of the Indoor Pool.
